Wow! That is what I say when someone asks me to summarize Cumbria Way in a word. It was breathtaking at times. The Lake District seems to be one of the most beautiful areas in England. This reputation has itself proven true. A very different landscape than I have seen walking the Dales Way. They have there own charms and characteristics. The landscape around the Cumbria Way is rougher, more dramatic, wetter and higher. The trip has exceeded my expectations!
Meandering along the dales way Feature
Beautiful river valleys, vast green meadows and walking on limestone plateaus with breathtaking views. In short, variety. The Dales Way had been interesting all the way. As I walked, I became familiar with the Yorkshire Dales national park and the English landscape. And above all with a lot of sheep. The route also frequently crossed the authentic English villages. I have to admit that I often could not ignore the local Pub. The Dales Way is highly recommended.
